Q: Do you only work with clients who have global leadership challenges?
A: While our focus is on the global leadership issues our clients face, we also work with them on their domestic business challenges. The Global Coaching and Consulting Group team of coaches and consultants is experienced in both domestic and global business issues.
Q: How do you work with your clients?
A: Coaching programs are designed to accommodate a client's needs and schedule. Mutually convenient schedules are arrived at by the coach and by the client. Coach and client can meet in person, via telephone, over the internet or a combination of these options, depending on the client's location and preferences.
Consulting projects are primarily on-site with telephone and email support.
Q: How often do you meet with your clients?
A: Coaching sessions are typically two to three times per month, lasting one to two hours per session. Consulting meetings are project-dependent.
Q: Is coaching paid per session or per block of time?
A: Coaching services are purchased in blocks of time, paid in advance. A typical engagement for an executive or a manager is 6 to 12 months. The minimum coaching commitment for executives paying "out of pocket" or for small business owners is 3 months.
Q: Are your consulting fees hourly based or project based?
A: Fees for consulting services are project based.
Q: How do you evaluate the success of a coaching engagement?
A: Prior to accepting a coaching engagement, we meet with the client and the organization sponsor to establish the goals to be achieved. If the organization intends to calculate the ROI of the coaching engagement, we establish the results that will be impacted in calculating a successful engagement.
At the end of each coaching meeting, the client and coach assess what worked and was most beneficial, and what did not work.
Midway through the coaching engagement, the client, the organization sponsor and the coach meet to review the established goals and to determine whether or not milestones had been achieved.
At the completion of the engagement, both the client and the organization sponsor fill out an evaluation form. Then, the client, the organization sponsor and the coach meet for a final review of the engagement and the goals achieved.
Q: How is client confidentiality handled?
A: Client confidentiality is essential to the trust necessary for a successful coaching engagement. While we may be engaged by an organization to work with one of their executives, our client with whom we maintain confidentiality is the person being coached. During the initial meeting, the client and organization sponsor agree to terms of confidentiality, and it is up to the coaching client to keep the organization sponsor informed of any developments. The coach does not share information with the client sponsor or anyone else unless authorized by the client to do so.
Confidentiality is only breached if the client admits to a criminal offense, in which case the coach is required by law to report it to the authorities.
