Maria Foffé, MA, MBA, JD
Maria Foffé has dedicated her career to the development of individuals and organizations in the international arena. She has worked in a variety of industries in a leadership and policy-making role.
In her more than twenty years as a corporate executive in domestic and international human resources, first at McGraw-Hill, then at Merrill Lynch, including a stint abroad as H.R. Director for Europe and Asia, and finally as Senior Vice President of H.R. at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, she acquired an extensive understanding of the cultures and professional practices in many countries. She was responsible for the creation and implementation of global H.R. strategies in recruitment, compensation and benefits, management training, career development, employee relations, technology, relocation and immigration. At DLJ, Maria also served as Diversity Director, designing initiatives that resulted in Working Mother Magazine selecting DLJ as one of the "100 Best Employers for Working Mothers".
As a consultant, Maria has worked with clients in communications, entertainment, financial services, consumer products and technology. She has partnered with her clients in developing solutions to the myriad of issues that arise in directing a global workforce. By helping her clients and their employees focus on their immediate and long-term goals, she has contributed to their success and the profitability of the company.
Maria received her M.B.A. in International Business and Finance from Fordham University, her M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and her J.D. from New York Law School. She was on the faculty of New York University and the World Trade Institute. She is the author of several articles on global human resources issues.
